The agreement was signed by Avas Enterprises Managing Director Mohamed Yaniu Rameez and Zakat House Fund Manager Abdullah Ali — marking a meaningful step toward modernising charitable giving in the Maldives.

Established ahead of Ramadan 2026, the partnership is built around a clear goal: making Fitr Zakat payments simpler, more convenient, and widely accessible to the public across the Maldives. Under this agreement, individuals can pay their Fitr Zakat directly through Avas' digital platforms — removing the need to visit physical collection points and integrating modern technology with a core religious obligation.

To ensure that every contribution reaches those most in need, Avas has committed to waiving all transfer fees when remitting collected funds to Maldives Zakat House.
