Avas Express was built for exactly those moments. It is a new feature available directly in the Avas App, and it brings sending and collecting packages together in one service, so your parcel makes the trip instead of you.

What Avas Express does

Avas Express lets you arrange a package delivery around Malé and Hulhumalé straight from your phone. You open the app, tell us where the package is coming from and where it needs to go, and we take it from there.

There are two sides to the service:

Sending. Whether it's a gift for a loved one, an important document, or a parcel that needs to reach a customer, you can send it without leaving where you are. You do not need to be free, and you do not need to be nearby. Arrange the delivery from your desk, from home, or from wherever the day has taken you.

Collecting. Avas Express also makes picking up packages far more convenient. You can request a pickup from supported couriers — including PikPost, Redbox, CPEX, Maldives Post, Aramex, DHL, FedEx, and UPS — and have the package brought to wherever you want it. That online order you have been meaning to collect all week can simply come to you.

Why we built it

Malé and Hulhumalé are dense, busy, and closely connected, which is both the opportunity and the problem. Everything is nearby, and yet getting anything from one point to another still eats up an afternoon. Traffic, parking, counter hours, and the sheer number of small errands that pile up in a week all add friction to journeys that should take minutes.

We already move people across these islands every day. Avas Express applies that same network to the things people need to move: parcels, envelopes, packages, orders. Instead of a separate courier arrangement, a separate app, or a separate trip, the delivery lives in an app you already have.

Who it's for

Busy professionals. A contract needs a signature at another office. A document has to reach a client before the end of the working day. Send it, get on with your work, and skip the round trip.

How it works

1. Open the Avas App. Avas Express sits alongside the rides you already book — no new app, no new account.
2. Tell us about the delivery. Set the Pick up location with sender's details and the drop-off point with receiver's details. If you are collecting from a courier, choose the courier instead.
3. Confirm and send. Once your request is confirmed, your package is on its way. and both the sender & Receiver can track the ride.
4. Let it arrive. The package gets where it needs to go while you carry on with your day.

That's the whole idea: a few taps instead of an afternoon.

Sending well: a few practical tips

• Pack for the journey. Use a box or envelope suited to what's inside. Anything fragile should be wrapped properly before it's handed over.
• Be precise with addresses. In Malé and Hulhumalé, a building name, floor, and flat number make all the difference. Add a landmark if it helps.
• Confirm contact number of the receiver. It's the fastest way to resolve a locked door or an unclear address.
• Give the recipient a heads-up. A quick message so someone is there to receive the package saves everyone time.
• For courier pickups, have the phone ready. Receiver can track the ride and locate the driver through the Avas App itself.
