GiftaSmile1446: Our Support to Families in Need

Avas App, in collaboration with Mahaldheeb Volunteers and Giyaasudheen International School, actively participated in GiftaSmile1446 for the year held on 22nd February 2025, a humanitarian initiative aimed at providing essential food aid to underprivileged families during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative was designed to alleviate food insecurity among vulnerable households, ensuring they had the necessary supplies throughout the month, thereby promoting the values of generosity and communal support.

The program successfully mobilized funds and food donations through corporate sponsorships and individual contributions, enabling the distribution of food packages to 125 families across Malé City, Hulhumalé, and Vilimalé. With an estimated six to eight individuals per household, the initiative impacted approximately 800 individuals, offering them crucial assistance in preparation for Ramadan. Volunteers from Avas App, Mahaldheeb, and Giyaasudheen International School played a pivotal role in coordinating the logistics and executing efficient delivery operations. Their commitment and organized approach ensured that all designated families received the necessary provisions in a timely manner.
